Trip gets his first monthly checkup

It’s hard to believe, but Tripoli is one whole month old! The vet came out to do his checkup, and Mom and Dad had to catch him to weigh him. Which resulted in the most addorable picture of a proud Dad and his four legged adoptee.

Dad holding trip before his one month weigh-in!

Awww. That’s as cute as it gets. Trip doesn’t even look concerned, just kind of “I know I’m cute, why are we making a big deal about how awesome I am?” He’s a healthy 26.4 lbs, up almost 10 lbs from his birth weight.

Dr. Balsch gave the new boys their immunizations. She took a poo sample as well, and if it’s worm-free, they get out of quarintine! They have a pretty comfortable pen, but I’m sure Marcello will enjoy having a bit more space to strut around. Surfer dude, Bravado, is just looking forward to playing in the sprinkler. Dad was filling their water buckets, and squirted them just to see how they would react. Bravado ran out of the shelter and began playing around in the “rain”. Look at that happy face, post-sprinkling!

Bravado is a happy camper, he just got to play in the water.

The girls like their time playing in the water too, none more than Tulip. Even a hint of a puddle, and she runs over and begins to “dance” in it, stomping her front feet. It’s even more awesome if someone holds the hose at the perfect angle for dancing.

Tulip and Brittany play in the water while, like any sensible pregnant lady, Mikayla lays in it.

Awww. Just another day on the ranch.

About cliffhousealpacas

Once upon a time, my dad drove by some funny looking animals standing on little dirt hills in a field. Thus, the dream of an alpaca ranch was born. Now, we are embarking on a grand adventure of raising alpacas and becoming fiber artists.
