An ode to Moms
This post is dedicated to the person who always has your back… The one who stands guard over you when you are little, and sometimes when you are bigger too… She may ignore you occasionally (but you probably deserve it)… … Continue reading

Alpaca bio: Trip the hummer
Little Tripoli was the first cria (alpaca baby) born on our ranch. His momma is our sweet Tulip, a medium fawn (light brown), and Tuscany is his half-brother. As a young ‘un, Tripoli’s personality is still developing, but one thing is … Continue reading

Snow babies
What do alpacas look like in the snow? They look pretty much the same as usual, adorable. Marsy isn’t really a big fan of the snow. I am so lusting after Tripoli’s fleece. I wants it, my precious.

In honor of Halloween (I know, I’m late) I give you pictures of Skele-paca! Mom always objects when I call her Skele-paca. She says that Marsy looks more like Groucho Marx, which really isn’t much nicer. What do you think?
Alpaca bio: Tuscany
Tuscany, as our first cria, holds a special place in all our hearts. Born to Tulip before we’d even brought the alpacas home to the ranch, Tuscany was adorable from the very start.
Video of crias
Trip and Marsy don’t let their Mom’s lack of interest in turnout keep them from enjoying the open space. They appear to have springs in their legs, right?
Baby update
Yesterday Dr. Balsch, our vet, came by to give Trip and Marsy their first shots! I apparently left my phone in the office, so I haven’t been able to call for updates, but I’m sure it went fine. I had … Continue reading
This is Brittany’s story
Millions of Americans are struggling with addiction. This is Brittany’s story. Brittany had a rough childhood. Her mom, Bookoo, couldn’t provide what she needed, and Brittany nearly starved. She was forced to turn to foster parents for milk and love. … Continue reading
