Our other new alpaca!

And this is Vanny! I love how goofy he looks in this picture.

Vanny also comes to us from Andrew at Spring Too Fibers, like Cici. He (Vanny, not Andrew) is a medium fawn like Tulip. Until very recently, he was an intact male. We weren’t ready to upset the delicate balance in the boy’s herd by introducing another strong-willed fellow, so for now, he’s living alone in the bachelor’s quarters. He used to being solo, though.

Tulip has short hair, so we tend to run out of her color quickly. I’m glad to have another beautiful fawn, especially coming from Andrew’s excellent stock.

Thanks for all the well wishes for our new babes! We’ll keep you informed as to their integration into the herd, and I can’t wait to find out what kind of personalities they have.

About cliffhousealpacas

Once upon a time, my dad drove by some funny looking animals standing on little dirt hills in a field. Thus, the dream of an alpaca ranch was born. Now, we are embarking on a grand adventure of raising alpacas and becoming fiber artists.

Welcome to Vanny. He’s absolutely gorgeous and my favourite colour – ginger(ish). I hope he will fit in really well at your home. I’m sure he will. I’m finding your Blog really exciting with all these new arrivals – alpacas, spinning wheels and gorgeous roving.

    • We’ve had a busy couple of weeks, that’s for sure! It is usually a bit quieter around here. But those goofballs are always up to something hilarious, which makes for interesting reading.
