New Year’s Resolutions

The family took some time on New Years to examine our accomplishments from last year and what we’d like to do better next year. I couldn’t deny that my update record here on the blog has been spotty lately. It’s hard to believe that for almost a year I posted something every day, and now I’m doing good to get up one entry a week.

One thing we hear, over and over, is how much everyone enjoys reading about our adventures. So, we’ve committed to doing Monday, Wednesday, and Friday posts. Mom, Dad, and my brother will all be chipping in more stories.

I’ve also decided NOT to unpack my spinning wheel yet. Last night I broke out my crochet hooks for the first time in two years, and I made something I’d never made before. That shouldn’t be a big deal, but I’ve been down in a creative rut for a while now. So, hopefully I’ll have new and different projects to show you!

Happy New Year, everyone! Thanks for being on this ride with us. We know we couldn’t do it without you.

About cliffhousealpacas

Once upon a time, my dad drove by some funny looking animals standing on little dirt hills in a field. Thus, the dream of an alpaca ranch was born. Now, we are embarking on a grand adventure of raising alpacas and becoming fiber artists.

Looking forward to reading about your crochet adventures. I am spinning with alpaca/silk at the moment. It is a little more tricky than I’m used to and I have to concentrate but I am enjoying it.

    • Thanks! It’s good to make a thing people can wear, once in a while. I like the alpaca/silk combination! It’s probably the hardest blend I’ve ever worked with, but I’ve never spun cotton (which is sounds difficult). Enjoy!
