I’ve done over 40 posts now and I’m wondering, what do you think? I’ve posted in all the categories I could think of…but which do you like? What else do you want to know about ranch life, alpacas, crafting? Be sure to comment as well; I’d love details. Two polls after the jump!
Once upon a time, my dad drove by some funny looking animals standing on little dirt hills in a field. Thus, the dream of an alpaca ranch was born. Now, we are embarking on a grand adventure of raising alpacas and becoming fiber artists.

I’ve really been enjoying following your blog! I just started knitting this past year and like learning more about where all this beautiful yarn I ogle at my LYS comes from and how it is processed. And of course the animal stories are fun to read.
If you are taking requests I’d love to see a walk-through of each step in the yarn making process with pictures from shearing to product. I read about carding, etc, but still a little lost as to exactly what each step looks like and their order.
Keep up the good work!

Hi Audrey! Crazy! Sorry, the ‘spam’ filter caught you on accident! You’re cleared now, so it shouldn’t happen again.
I can certainly go through the whole process! It tends to surprise even me how many times I’ve/we’ve handled the fiber the time it makes it to yarn. Thank you for an excellent idea, and I’m glad you’re enjoying. I seem to have an even split between fiber folks and animal lovers following the blog, so I’m just going to keep on with the even split of posts!
