Artist bio – Donna Ferris, photographer

Donna is another friend who has become a part of the family, mostly because we share so many of the same passions, but also for her vivacious personality (and because she can cook 🙂 ). I only wish I had more of her photos to show off!

Donna has been a serious student of photography since 2006 when she began attending workshops in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her primary area of focus is equine photography. Recently, with the help of her friend Laura Grisham, Donna has become involved with crafts that include bead and metal work. Donna will have her note cards and beaded bracelets and crafts on display.

About cliffhousealpacas

Once upon a time, my dad drove by some funny looking animals standing on little dirt hills in a field. Thus, the dream of an alpaca ranch was born. Now, we are embarking on a grand adventure of raising alpacas and becoming fiber artists.

Must be lovely to be so near the animals. I don’t have that privilege. The colours of those horses are just wonderful and she is talented.

    • Those are actually wild horses in New Mexico, I’m pretty sure. Many of Donna’s photos were taken there. They sure look healthy, those shiny coats! Yes, we are very lucky to live with animals, both wild and domestic, that many people only get to see in photos.
